Intern with the Coalition!
A number of internship opportunities are available with the San Francisco Bay Area Darfur Coalition. If you are interested in finding out more about these positions, please email info@darfursf.org today.
Here’s what Anisha Gupta, a Summer 2007 Intern, has to say about her experience:
An internship with the San Francisco Bay Area Darfur coalition is a prime opportunity to gain comprehensive insight into one of the most deeply involved grassroots organizations in the Bay Area. A small non-profit with huge projects and vast goals, the SFBADC is involved with divestment, advocacy, lobbying, education, aid work, and about a million other things. As an intern I was able to participate in every aspect of the Darfur movement and experience a broad spectrum of the non-profit world. From sitting in on important board meetings to researching newspaper coverage, to attending large-scale activist events, my summer internship was an incredible learning experience. Not only did my knowledge of the Darfur situation expand infinitely, but I was able to gain valuable skills crucial for any kind of public policy or service work. Working with the SFBADC was an immensely gratifying summer experience; not only for the education I received, but also for the people I met. With an internship here, you will be working with some of the most dedicated, driven, determined people you will ever meet. My experience was a challenging, formative, and dynamic one—one that I am so fortunate to have had.
